The new year is in full swing. You may have decided to do things differently this year. Eat better, exercise more, or organize a growing pile of papers. Whatever your resolution is, you may have found it hard to stick to. Various thoughts run through your mind, "I'm tired", "Not enough time", "I don't know how to start." These are thoughts that can hurt the goals you set for yourself on January 1.
There is a way to get back on track. Follow these five steps to reevaluate, revamp, and revive your goals.
1 - Set a Firm Date
What date would you like to achieve your goal? Look at your calendar and mark down the date you want to reach your goal. For example, I would like to lose 10 lbs by March 1.
2 - Get Realistic With Your Time
Look at your schedule and figure out how much time you have to work out each day. If you don't have time for a one-hour workout, do a 30-minute workout. If you can't get to the gym, have a workout DVD ready in the DVD player.
3 - Tell Others About Your Plan
In fact, one of the best ways to stay on track is to have a buddy. Someone to walk with, join you in your DVD workout, or someone that you can talk to about your progress.
4 - Throw Out Sweet Treats
Sweets are lingering in your fridge, counters, and cabinets. You may be saving them for 'the kids', but, it's time to say goodbye. Clean out all the food that can hurt your goals.
5 - There's an App for That
There are tons of great apps you can add to your smartphone to help you stay on track. Also, look into a training program online. There are tons of programs on the internet that can help you stay on top of your fitness and reach of your goals.You can get back into the groove of things. Sometimes you have bumps in the road, but don't to throw in the towel. Plan to succeed and you will reach your goal.
