9 Reasons You Should Try CrossFit

6. Boredom takes a back seat

Sick of the same old routine? That won't happen in a CrossFit gym.

Constant variable is one of the foundations of the fitness regimen, so within a week's time, you will likely lift, complete some gymnastics movements, push your endurance with some sprints, and even do some seemingly strange things like tire flips, sled pushes or a warm-up routine that resembles a childhood game.

In a box, boredom does not exist.

7. Mastery is impossible

Although progress is a huge part of CrossFit, it's simply impossible to master the sport of fitness. You can always progress to lifting a little heavier, moving a bit faster, or learning a new skill.

Benchmark workouts provide a measurable means to progress, so you know what your improvements look like. In CrossFit, even the best can be better, so there's always room for growth and development.

8. It's an intense means of meditation

Most people would never associate meditation with CrossFit, but for some, it's an amazing way to calm their mind.

With a clock counting down, standards to adhere to, and reps to remember, your brain will put a massive barrier, making it hard to think about anything outside of the present.

While some might prefer the calm and stillness of a quiet room, others find that CrossFit provides an intense distraction from the stresses of life. And for that reason, it can be the perfect form of meditation.

9. Why not?

Seriously, why not?

Every physical ability, age, gender and demographic has the chance to try something that could be life changing. If your physical health is a priority, and you aren't afraid of putting in some sweat equity, give it a try.

Everyone has unique abilities and limitations, but CrossFit is the most inclusive and innovative physical development trend around. If you're feeling inclined to give it a try, there's nothing to lose and everything to gain.
