Talk about an epic event. The shortest distance offered at Deer Creek is one mile. Other distances include a 5K, 10K and yes, even a 10-miler. All swimmers must be 18 years or older and all participants are required to provide their own support boat and paddler.

This challenging 2.7-mile race subjects experienced swimmers to cool waters and high altitude. The swim begins on a beach at the east end of Donner Lake. The event has a limited entry and all entrants must have a 2013 United State Masters Swimming Membership.

This point-to-point 2,4-mile open water swim will help raise money for three charities: North Idaho College Booster Club, The Union Gospel Mission, or the Coeur d' Alene Area Swim Team. Swimmers are transported via cruise boat to Arrow Point and then make their way back to the new Hagdone Event Center.

Lake Chelan Swim 2013

Lake Chelan, a narrow 55-mile long lake, is a sight to behold. This event, which is open to all levels, lets you really experience the lake. The 1.5-mile swim starts a Willow Point Park and goes to Manson Bay Park on the north shore of Lake Chelan.

Take a ferry to Angel Island and swim one nautical mile (about 2,000 yards) across San Francisco Bay back to Tiburon. After the swim, enjoy a catered lunch and live music. A 55-minute time limit is strictly enforced.
