As you watch the U.S. Open on television, you may be awed by the pros' backhands, agility or even their stylish tennis outfits. But did you ever stop to think how much ground they actually cover during a match?

IBM did. And, in fact, they even went so far as to calculate it.

Totals reflect the cumulative miles each athlete ran leading up to the semi-final matches. Mileage was tracked via IBM's SlamTracker Ball and Player Movement intelligence.
