How to Get Your Morning Coffee Buzz While Camping

If you can't shake sleep without a hot cup of coffee, camping is not the time to try. With the right tools and knowledge, making coffee while camping is easy, and doesn't require much gear. So, if you rise with the sun when sleeping in a tent, be sure you know how to get your morning caffeine buzz.

Jetboil Coffee Press

Before you can take advantage of the Jetboil Coffee Press, you first need to have the Jetboil Cooking Kit. These two pieces work together to help you quickly and easily make coffee while camping.

Components: This all-in-one product makes boiling water easy. The vessel for cooking is a cup, which looks like a travel mug. It's made of metal, with a neoprene sleeve and metal conducting ring on the bottom. The set also comes with a propane canister and miniature metal stove, all of which fits within the cup, making it easy to pack. In addition to this, you should also have the custom coffee press.

How to Use It: Attach the propane canister to the metal stove mechanism and screw the two into the bottom of the cup. After turning the stove on, press the red starter button boil the water. Now it's time to make your coffee. Put grounds in the cup, stir, and let sit for one minute. Insert the custom Jetboil coffee press, and enjoy your hot coffee.

The Final Product: You can boil 2 cups of water in less than 2 minutes, depending on altitude. But the cup can fit a total of 12 liters of water, which will take longer to boil all at once. The method used is similar to that of a French press, but this is an all-in-one solution for boiling the water and making coffee.
