French Press
Some people use this mechanism for making coffee at home every morning. As a compact product, it's also ideal for making coffee while camping.
Components: A French press has five components: the press, a spiral plate, a screen, a cross plate and the jar. However, unlike the Jetboil, you will have to boil water first, and pour it into the French press.
Weight: 24 oz.
How to Use It: Pour your coffee grinds into the French press glass container, followed by water you either boiled on your stove or on the fire. Let sit for one minute, place the pressing mechanism on top, and press down slowly. Now you're ready to enjoy a hot cup of coffee
The final product: A standard sized French press can make eight, 4-ounce cups of coffee at one time, which is enough for 2 to 3 people.

Powder Coffee
You don't need a fancy boiling mechanism or French press to make delicious coffee while camping. Powdered, or instant, coffee and a pot for boiling water is enough to get your morning started off right. Just because it's powder doesn't mean you have to pass on flavor. Starbucks and Folgers both sell instant coffee packets.
Components: A pot is all you need. You can buy a small stainless steel pot that's easy to pack.
Weight: Assuming you have a pot similar to the one mentioned above, this can be as light as as 1.6 ounces.
How to Use It: Boil water in the pot, add your powder coffee, and stir.
The Final Product: A small pot of this size can make just over 2 cups of coffee. Bring a bigger pot if you're making java for a large group.
